Default Reinstalling the Blackberry OS?

Please Login to Remove!

I see references to re-imaging Blackberrys, and with a JVM 513 error on a couple I think I need to be doing that... but how?

Try some of these links.

Just to upgrade the OS:
How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

If you want to completely remove the OS and install a fresh one (not needed if just upgrading OS):

You will require both the Desktop Manager and the appropriate OS version for your device/carrier.

Desktop Manager is not required. You only need to download the handheld software. Install it to your PC and launch Application Loader when finished to install the OS to the handheld.

Gee, Doug, the way blackhearted phrased the question, it seemed to me that he was starting from scratch. So, based on the first two steps from the oft-cited 'How to upgrade the OS' link:

1. Download and install to PC the latest version of Desktop Manager
2. Download the new OS you want and install it to the PC

I kinda thought that DM would be required in order to launch the Application Loader (see attached image).

Maybe I'm doing it wrong...
