I guess google got 34 companies together, the open handset alliance, to come together and make a OS that will be viable for many diffrent phones. I think that this is a good idea in thought, But I think it isn't going to work. First off, from what I've read, they still are missing major Partners, most notabley, Microsoft and blackberry. There was a great post I read here in the linux forums asking why no one has put linux on a blackberry, and someone responded by saying that the reason is, the blackberry has perfected there OS ( or pretty close ) and that if there was a need to put a linux on a blackberry, they would of done it by now. From what I've read, microsoft, nokia and some other huge players are still not on board for googles next move. What do you guys think?

I know i'm not the most informed, this might not even be a blackberry option, but from what i've read, they want to make it a universal OS for handhelds
