Overkill?

Would you keep both, or switch to the other?

What are you hoping to gain?

probably keep both not looking to gain anything just AT&T will let me have it for 63.00 I had it the first time around but the 2weeks they give is not enough time for me to get a a good feel for the phone. using the Z10 for 3 weeks now.
it just seems the q10 is a little better typing

I don't know. I know, or knew, of people who had a weekday BlackBerry and weekend BlackBerry and just moved the SIM back and forth. FYI with BlackBerry ID there is a limit of something like 15 or 15 per year on the number of times you can swap the ID to another handset. Look it up. I'm not sure it applies if you are swapping back and forth as opposed to another different handset each time.

Me, I have gotten use to the touch screen. I don't miss the keyboard as much as I was afraid I would. I don't know what the Q10 would give me that I would use. I think your decision is a personal one that depends on you. Different strokes.

I guess the OP should be able to do what he's thinking of doing.

Here are the KB articles I was thinking of.

KB25553-"There are too many PIN changes associated with this account (Error ID: 30801)" is encountered when attempting to login to BlackBerry World

And

KB34242-“You have reached the maximum number of PIN changes for this account” is displayed when attempting to login to BlackBerry World on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone

If I'm not mistaken the limitation on using the same BBID across devices doesn't come into play until you try to use BBM. That may have changed since the last time I did it as well.

You can get BlackBerry to reset the change devices count but you need a fairly good reason.

Having both and using them over an extended period of time will give you the best comparison of the two. I surmise that eventually one will win out over the other and become your main device for day to day use, but the other will be available as a change-of-pace device for when the mood strikes you. I do it myself, but cross platform. Nokia Lumia 928 and a BlackBerry Q10.

The recent update (Verizon) to 10.1.0.4189 added some sync capabilities with contacts and calendar that really made the difference. Plus I just love the physical keyboard and overall size of the BlackBerry. Now the only thing holding it back at all for me is the 90-day limit on email with my iCloud email account.

Naturally the iPhone's wireless sync with iCloud is superb. Now my BlackBerry is syncing natively with iCloud as well, which is something of a pleasant surprise for me. I expect Apple/Apple syncing to go without a hitch. But BlackBerrys have never enjoyed this level of integration with Apple services.
