Default FLAC problems

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having some problems with FLAC files.

I have added several properly tagged albums in FLAC format to my blackberry, and I find it's difficult to make playlists and even see the albums in the list of albums or under the lists of artists. This doesn't happen with the mp3 versions.

Is anybody else noticing this?

I have to browse to the files via media-explore-then browse to the folder location where the music is located to actually see them, then make playlists manually, some I can't make the playlist for some reason.
Sometimes having an m3u file in the album folder allows it to be seen under playlists, but not always.

I've done a few battery pulls thinking that may solve the problem but it hasn't either.
It's weird how some FLAC albums I can see and some I can't.

Is there a proper procedure for this?

I don't think the BB supports it. Did you try using Google?

FLAC Audio codec for storm? - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

I did see there was a download for a FLAC player, but I don't know which devices/OS' it is compatible with however.

The Torch supports FLAC.
Yes, I googled it, I just don't get why I can add some albums no problem and others it doesn't recognize.

My sansa clip sometimes has a hard time playing some FLAC files before I did an upgrade. Maybe there some bug in the torch's media player preventing you from playing it.

The 9700 will browse to & play flac files - which surprised me today when I found out by accident!
