i've got a BB and my gf just got an iphone. ( i tried to talk her in to a BB i really did!!!) i havent even taken a look at it is the iphone compatable with bb msg? will she have a pin that we can chat back and forth or will we have to download a msg service so we dont have to pay for the txt back and forth? or dose the iphone come with an email set up like my BB??

BB messenger only works with BB users (part of the perk of BB ownership).

There's AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and Google Talk available for BB for free. And Jivetalk for a price. Not sure what Iphone has, but there's probably something free.

There is a lot of chat software for the iphone. Not sure about free stuff . . . but there are some for $10-15 eg. beejive im+ etc

The iphone has quite a bit of free software available so there is probably a free im program out there if you hunt around

You can use Fring for instant messaging. Last time I checked it was free.

plenty of free options for IM on iphone. I use IM+ an have fring as well.
