back to subject at hand guys
If you look at your track ball very very closely (sp?), I notice that there are little pieces of debris, dirt, dust and little micro fibers clinging on for dear life on my track ball. I keep it in a carrying case (
here are some pictures) and I keep it well maintained. All I'm saying is when you buy a corvette and get pieces of debris (leaves, dirt, etc)from your shoes in your car near the floorboards, in my opinion, I keeps it clean, I'll go home and get out the vacuum and clean it every week if I have to because I donxxx8217;t want to have to worry about it collecting in hideaway spots. You donxxx8217;t have to or might not care about maintenance but from what I've read about some guys track ball not working already, I'll take that extra precaution and clean my track ball anyway, even if its cleaning little itty bitty pieces of dirt off it.
Yours can stay dirty, and yes, yours is probably dirty even if its just a little bit (but you dont care), mine can stay clean. Simple as that.
Take a look at your track ball. I garentee its not as clean as it was you took it out of its case for the first time. The tape will help it stay clean, if by only a little bit.
