Keep in mind, that some OS versions have had a cascading memory bleed problem. The longer you use the BB the faster you bleed memory, until you are doing a battery pull twice a day and ready to throw it against the wall.
If everything freezes briefly a few times a day, leading up to the final freeze-up, its likely your ram or flash memory is floating around zero, and it isn't autoboosting up, like its supposed to. This is especially true, when you notice that it freezes no matter where you are. A memory booster app that visually shows Ram/Flash/Objects is a valuable diagnostic and prevention tool. Power Mem @ Appworld is great.
I've seen this problem in every BB 6 leak and official, for the 9700. Some OS versions are stable for 1 week and gradually get worse at 10-14 days. My solution has been to re-install the OS over top of itself using Loader.exe.
With OS 5, you probably wouldn't have to reinstall that often, as its not a monster OS.
