already been discussed...even in e-screens you cant change it...unless you have RIM vendor ID...

what is RIM Vendor ID? I think it's not to hard change vendor id...

you can change it using MML.... but i'm not sure about vendor id 1. may be 001

Oh really...try it then...and then come back here with your tail between your legs because even though you have the correct software....you don't have the correct VERSION and FILES that MML needs to load firmware to the 9700.

I would suggest you call RIM's Head Office in Waterloo, ON at (519) 888-7465 and ask them to personally send you the latest copy of MML and all the loader files.
