Default Anybody Struggling in Los Angeles, CA

Please Login to Remove!

We are 3 9000 users here in Los Angeles and we have been struggling for a couple of days with calling, texting and web browser. Multiple attempts to get texting across. Multiple attempts to place outgoing calls... very weird. It will work and then not... hard to have a conversation with anybody cuz they don't know why you aren't answering back for an hour.

Just wondering if anybody else is struggling... we are all AT&T...

No I haven't. I hate calling them... but I will because it's been long enough now that whatever this is it should be over.

After I posted this I thought maybe I should have put this in the carrier specific part of the forum. I really have no idea who or what is causing this - it certainly could be AT&T.

That would have been my first call if you had so many down.

I called and they said what I thought they would say... no towers down, nothing appears wrong.

But our BB's are not even usable... especially the web which just "requests".... and nothing.

I guess I wait a few more days and then call them back and ask why I am paying them...

Thanks for the tip - we tried that but it didn't help. If we roll at all, it's mostly on EDGE - which is pointing toward the network as the problem. I will call AT&T again on Monday.

We are doing better except for phone calls - inability to place a call (call repeatedly fails) or receive calls at times...

2 are OS 5.0 and 1 is 4.6 as they are in a corporate environment and the corporation decides when you can upgrade. The bold's that were upgraded to OS 5.0 have to have battery pulls due to a memory leak. How often you do that can depend. After you do the battery pull and the memory comes back... everything runs much better. But that is not the cause of the current problem. I believe it is AT&T - things are better... but we aren't running like "normal" yet.

I have another smartphone on the AT&T network and it's also experiencing "call" trouble. When you make a call it can take up to 5 attempts to get it across. It's SO BAD that you bail and IM the person. People are still calling me on the land line asking why I won't answer my phone because everything keeps going to voice mail. My sister whose BB is AT&T through work is also struggling... same thing - can't place a call - can't receive as everything goes immediately to voice mail.

When people finally get you, they are like yelling at you they are so frustrated...

At least the "data" is rolling through fine now. But this call issue has been ongoing for over a month.

I have called AT&T and get nowhere with them...

Just posting my ongoing frustration and that this has not been resolved....
