Default Wireless email reconcile on BB Connect devices (P910, 6820, 6822?)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there:

Can any users of the Nokia 6820, 6822 or any other BlackBerry Connect devices (P910, Nokia 9300 / 9500) care to comment as to the ability to do a wireless email reconcile on BWC. Do you have to go manually to the BWC and delete mail everyday or when you delete it on the device it deletes it on your BWC mailbox?

Thanks

According to this link
http://www.blackberry.com/uk/product...ct/nokia.shtml

, wireless reconcile is available with these devices on BWC but its not working for me on a Nokia 6820b. I want to know before I contemplate on getting a Nokia 9500.

Regards

R

Thanks:

Hopefully a Nokia 6820 or 6822 user can chime in here and clarify if the reconcile works. There's an option for it on the 9300 / 9500 with the client software (based on screenshots, so it has to work)

Wont work on the 6820. They haven't updated the client on that device for almost 18 months.

It will work on all the new BB Connect devices so far released.

Default I know its been a while...

Thanks for the reply.

Funny how the Nokia site still advertises the 6820 / 6822 as being able to do wireless reconcile.... all in all there are no controls for reconciling and I highly doubt it they'll release a firmware upgrade for such a dinosaur (in cell phone time). Too bad since I actually like the shape and size of the 6820/22.

I just love my Nokia 6822. From the form factor to the voice quality and connectivity. It's awesome. Currently I'm running down the answer to the wireless reconciliation issue with Nokia USA. Of course they claim that it doesn't work in the US yet. HA. I've been using it with my corporate BES and Cingular (Blue) service without any problems. It's awesome.

More to come soon.

dfroemke:

Thanks. I've been working with Nokia Canada to get the answe from them. Nokia USA has ignored me because they also told me it wont work in the US. NOkia Canada told me I have to contact the carrier (phone originally was in Rogers), so I would have to contact them to get an answer at all.

I got rid of my 6822 precisely because of this issue: it won't do 2-way wireless reconcile using a BES or BWC.
