Default There is hope...

I destroyed my t-mobile logo area by being impatient, yes... 100% my fault.

That said i was reading: blackberryfaq.com/index.php/8100_Disassembly#Step_3.3B_Remove_Bottom_Cover]8100 Disassembly - BlackBerryFAQ

and noticed that the bottom cover was seperate and could be replaced. That said... where can i get a bottom cover?

mine isn't scratched... just not smooth. I am going to go to an auto parts store and buy a small jar of black compound... i will then buff the area with a good cloth... let you know how it goes.... that compound performs miracles! anyway mine is really not that bad, just alittle dull over the logo.

I am also interested in replacing the bottom cover. If anyone finds some spare parts, please let me know.

Cheers,
Michael

i thought about that... but maybe asking the tmo tech if he has the piece is a better option.

I used to have a PPC 6600 that was damaged. I went into the back at the sprint store with the tech and saw the bins of parts they keep on hand. Somewhere, someone will accidentally break that piece and need a new one. The have to keep it in stock.

Ill do some calling around today and post my results.
