After I loaded the API Update from Http://www.blackberry.com, I received the following message when I tried to open up RimCell:

Errror starting net-rim_device_extra_game_rimcell:Module 'net_rim_device_extra_game_rimcell' attempts to access a secure api

any ideas/ suggestions on how to resolve would be greatly appreciated....

Are you the programmer or did you try to install it as a customer?

As a customer: you can't do anything its a problem of the developer :(

In fact it means the .cod file is not signed properly or the developer tries to use internal RIM API's. But this are only two possibilities ...

Do you know how to install the api patch. Not sure if I did it correctly.

I am a developer but I was not the developer for the application. I got the application from a friend of mine.

The same Java classes are listed in several packages, some of them are
"internal", but accessible for developers! If you use classes from those
packages - wyou will have code signing problems. But RIM does not have list of internal packages. So try to use Java classes only.
