I want to hide some contacts on my BB Bold from my wife, is there a aftermarket program out there to do that similar to Web Logins on the iPhone

Can you just put a fake name on the contact? Then you'll know who it is but ... I mean, I wouldn't do it, I'm just saying...

Did you really have to add, "from my wife"?

Anyway yeah I would just use some fake names like BuzzBuzz said.

Trust me..fake names don't work. When she is looking at your phone and wondering who this person is that she doesn't know, she's gonna figure it out. And if she has reason to look at your phone then the odds are she already knows you are cheating. So give your wife some respect and divorce her if you are gonna be doin other woman. And if you are not cheating on her, then you should have no reason to hide the contacts.

Funny how this pops up as I'm watching Tool Academy.

We are all jumping to conclusions here. It does seem shady that the OP would want to hide contacts from his wife. However, there is no real way of doing this, but you could use filters. Make a filter called hidden and then add the contacts to that filter. Then check all filters but that one and it should show all the contacts but the ones under the hidden filter. In order to do this, you will need to place the rest of your contacts under a filter as well. I would suggest personal.

How about simply MEMORIZING the contact's information. no software, no passwords, no filters.

If you want the information on your BlackBerry to be private, the best thing is to password protect it.

WOW.....WOW...WOW
We do have a bunch of sensitive people out there.
Anyway thanks for all your comments but what I really want to do is to save banking details on my phone i.e. pin numbers so that I can have them password protected and my WIFE cant see them and use them.

Take a look at EWallet by Iliumsoft. I use it for all PINS, passwords log ons and it is encrypted and password protected. I do not have a wife but have tons of passwords and log ons.

Why not just use the password keeper for this info. It's password protected and will wipe if accessed with too many bad password attempts. Keeping banking data in your contacts is a disaster waiting to happen.

x2. I use Password Keeper for this type of information, too. Contacts are just to unreliable and un-secure.

I like Agendus DataVault. It has a desktop companion so you can enter the data on the PC and synch using Desktop Manager. Makes it lot easier. Both use strong encryption.
