ok im so frustrated...i just purchased a nextel blackberry rim the 7100i version and it can not text...im not with nextel im with boost mobile but i wanted this phone cuz i thought it was cute so can anyone help me... how do i get my phone to start texting

Should be ready for texting out of the box. Have you tried contacting your carrier in regards to this issue?

I remember reading someplace that there are problems with SMS on Boost. I know that there have been some issues in the past concerning SMS on Boost. Might try a search and see what you find.

Go to your contact click the scroll button than choose MMS, it sends out the same as the SMS. I get mine out and to me just as fast as any regular SMS. Go to Howards forum and follow the tutorials on the boostberry 7100i

According to a poster on another thread, iDen BBs don't support sms, regardless of network.
