Default HELP...trying to connect 8320 to work wifi...no WAP on BB?

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a 8320 from t-mob and am trying to connect to my company's wifi. They IT guy cannot get it to work. He explained that the company uses WAP as their security. WAP is not an option when trying to manually set-up wifi on 8320.

Instead, WEP, PSK, PEAP, LEAP, etc. are listed. But no WAP? Is there a workaround or am I out of luck?

Please help.

I've been doing IT Security for quite a while and I've never heard of WAP security.

Find another IT guy.

99% chance he meant either:

1. WEP encryption
2. For you to connect via WAP browser, which still would not make sense.

And if it is WEP, then ask for the 64 or 128 bit WEP encryption key.

And if it is WPA, it is most likely WPA with PSK (Pre-shared Key), meaning use PSK.
