Apologies for a newbie question, but does anyone know if 8320 Curve can get wi-fi connection on a wireless-b router, or does it need to be at least a wireless-G? I'm quite a bit behind on the technology curve as my router is still a "b", and I could not get a connection to wifi on my Curve. Thanks.

802.11b will work. You need to make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the router. What router do you have?

Thanks for a quick reply. I have the Netgear MR814v2 801.11b router, and while my Curve is able to see the router, it has the yellow light with a dash across, so no connection. I updated to the latest firmware (5.3 or something like that), but still no go. FYI, I'm under TMo, do not have the BIS or BES package, but want to try out all the built in features of the Curve.

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? If you don't have that, then the WiFi radio button (or whatever it's called) will never turn green.

I actually have the same exact setup. my suggestion is to update the os on the blackberry also. It usually connects but not always.
