Default Calls drop when switching from UMA to EDGE and vice versa

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I'm using two new 8320's with the Linksys TMO router and everything works fine in making either EDGE calls or UMA calls but when transitioning from inside to outside or the other way around calls drop.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Thanks,
After 3 weeks of fighting with TMO and RIM, I decided it was best to take the phone back. I found that not only was it dropping my calls in the manner you describe, but also when I had full signal on EDGE. After looking forward to this device for several months, I have concluded that it is very poor at best. The wifi antenna is horrible and the GSM is just as bad, combine the two, and I am dropping 10-20% of my calls in my home (which gets 3 bars, and has two wireless access points).

Good luck.

/m/

Dave,
Thanks for writing. I checked my 911 address with TMO and it's correct and wifi is also selected as the preferred network. The phone calls are getting dropped farther away from my house than I'd expect my router to be reaching but maybe not - about 150 feet and they get dropped both entering the hotspot and leaving it. Overall I'm pretty happy to have cell coverage in my house which has been a dead spot for years. My wife and I would run to the driveway if it was an important call or call back from a landline. I was thinking that it might improve with the next software update for the curve...
