Default 2 major symptoms....help

Please Login to Remove!

I recently got myself a blackberry storm. i won it actually from work [i work for verizon wireless]. i have been experiencing some issues and though I am not new to the blackberry devices, I am very green on how this storm works.

Here is what is going on.

1. Reboot whenever it feels like it.[I have checked available memory and I have wiped the device back to factory defaults several times and it keeps going. tried the Palm Treo trick.

2. Looses signal very easily and in turn, drops my calls. [i am aware that i could be hitting the mute button, but when I looked at the phone, it says call was lost. this is causing me to loose calls.

Here is what I have tried so far.

Pulling the battery. Reformatting the memory card. un-installing every app and doing it all over again.

I am using the latest VZW approved software.

have you heard of these things? What can I do to fix them? Would you reccomend downgrading the OS and reinstalling the new one?

Any help would be great.

The latest version from Verizon is .75, right?
That's pretty old. I recommend upgrading to the latest released version - even if it is not released by Verizon (RIM writes all the code; the carriers test and release on their own schedule).
Check at the top of the 9500 forum for the latest released version.

No need to do that. Just upgrade to the NEWEST released version.
