Surreal theme doesn't work in OS 4.5. Remove the battery and reinsert. When the hourglass comes up and begins spinning, plug in and run application loader. Remove the Surreal theme.

Agreed, same here. No more BT issues, although I still can't download iBerry themes lol. It says it doesn't know what BB I have anymore.

New to the forums here.

I did the upgrage from 4.3 to 4.5.0.77 on my BB 8330. I noticed that there are still no HTML emails. Everything else is working fine (if not better).

Is there an option I am missing somewhere?

Anyone know if this official .77 release is any different from the beta .77 ? Is it worth upgrading to this release from the beta?

.77 is .77. There is no difference from before it was released.

Default re: freezes

I'm getting constant hourglasses/freezes, which I am told could be due to my media card. At risk of sounding like a complete newb, how do I reformat my media card to attempt to troubleshoot this issue?

So then I uninstalled and reinstalled the Desktop Manager and also installed the other exe file shown to hold the 4.5.0.101 software and tried again. NOTHING, the device just synced as normal.

Then I uninstalled all of it again. Downloaded the latest 4.5 Desktop Software and Installed it. Plugged in the 8330 and nothing but syncing. I uninstalled the Desktop Manager and then reinstalled again and then ran the Software exe after. Still nothing. I have deleted the vendor file after each reinstall and nothing is working.

Any idea? I haven't bricked this phone yet but I see it happening soon. Any help would be great.
Same here???? Any help??

Unplug the BB from the USB.

Reboot BOTH the BB (battery pull, re-insert) and the PC.

Do a search on the entire c: drive of the PC for "vendor'xml". Delete any instances of it.

Make SURE the USB cable is plugged to a rear USB port on the PC--not a USB hub, monitor port or front PC port.

Now, plug the BB back in. Start Desktop Manager.

Any luck?

No Luck.
I just reboot the computer and phone.
I am running Desktop Manager 4.6.
I downloaded the 4.5 os and ran the instalation on the desktop.
I then deleted the vendor'xml file.
Then I permanently deleted it from the recycle bin.
I pluged in the handheld and started the desktop manager.
Nothing happened?

My usb is pluged into the back of the computer. I have tried it in different ports. The desktop manager recognizes the device, but it does not start the update.

Anyone hear of 4.5 being released officially by Alltel yet? Just wondering because over at crackberry in the Alltel forum someone posted in a thread about 4.5 by the end of the month that they got an email from Alltel with a link to 4.5 this morning.

Slovak - why wouldn't you just check the Alltel BlackBerry download site? (which I did) only shows 4.3 there.

Would it be possible to install Documents to Go from this download without the OS upgrade? Since I am on a BES I do not want to upgrade the OS until Verizon releases their official version. Thanks!

Default Upgrade STILL NOT working

Well I will try again to see if anyone has a fix for me here. I have been trying to load this 4.5.0.101 or .77 which ever it is actually classified as and it has not been working at all.

I was on 4.5.0.5something and tryin to load this new software. I have never had an issue before and now I cant get it to work at all. I have downloaded the new 4.6 Desktop Manager and downloaded the software packet for 4.5.0.101. I uninstalled everything I had related to Blackberry and installed the 4.6 Desktop Manager everything went fine. I then installed the 4.5.0.101 software, no issues. I deleted the vendor.xml file and even removed it from the bin to be sure. I rebooted the computer and then plugged in the 8330Waited for it to fully connect and then opened Desktop Manager. The device synced and then nothing. It will not ask or tell me to upgrade. What am I doing wrong.

I have since had the device replaced going back to the stock OS at 4.3.0.127 and tried it all over again with a fresh brand new phone and still nothing.

PLEASE someone try and throw an idea out there, anything would help.

Default Downloading the service books for HTML mail...

How did you do that? I have the same problem. I can't even select HTML mail as an option. Thanks a bunch,

John

By the way, this rev is a lot better than 4.5.33 that I was running. Everything is running a little more solid and there are fewer freeze-ups. In fact, none so far, but I am only one day into this rev on my Sprint 8330.
