Exclamation User with Mutiple Email only wants to get one on Phone

Please Login to Remove!

I have an environment with SBS 2003 running Exchange and BES 4.1 Small Business. Their are 5 different domains and users have with multiple email address associated with them. One of the users just got a Blackberry, but doesn't want to get all the messages that are sent to his primary account. But he does want any messages he composes on the device to appear as if they were from the primary address, and sync with the contacts and calendar. He only wants to receive messages sent to a secondary email account that few in the office know of, but when composing or replying, show as his primary address.
Is there any possibility of this? How?
Any suggestions or experiences with is would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Stevens

So he only wants to sync the calendar and contacts on his primary account, send email as if it was from his primary account, but not receive any emails?

Easiest way would be to add a filter on his blackberry, filtering all incoming emails.

So... filter the incoming messages from [email address](primary) to be deleted? That way he doesn't have to deal with them on the device. Right? But how can I set him up to also receive messages from [email address](secondary email to only have certain people send to device)? and how would I set him up to Send messages from the [email address] account?

Thanks,
Stevens

Ah, thanks for the clarification.

As far as I know you can only have one coperate email account assigned to a device.

Activate with [email address] and then have it only deliver mail to the HH with mail to [email address] (create a contact in AD & hide it). Any replies will come from [email address]

A BlackBerry filter. You can set it from the BES or the handheld.

Create a filter
Sent To: [email address]
set the action to "Forward message to device"

Then, for "When none of the above rules apply" make it "Don't forward"

So all email sent will be on the account he activated with "roy@domain.com" but only if email email roy2 will he get it to the handheld.

Sounds like it would work, but where do I find "When none of the above rules apply"?

I only have access to the BES and Exchange/AD. The HH is in NY, I'm in Atlanta. This would obviously be easier to troubleshoot if I had it. Trial and error is a lot easier that way. I don't want to risk having all his messages sent to his phone, then have him accidentlly erase all the messages from the server when removing from HH. He doesn't get back for 2 weeks and needs it working asap, of course.

My bad, I was reading that off the Desktop Manager.

This is what your server would look like.

And basically this is the filter

In your case, your default action should be "False"

Should I have these set to True when I enable the filter?

Attachment 8894

Yes, definitely. Otherwise the user won't get anything to the handheld.
