On my old phone with a track ball I could just zoom by rotating the track ball. On the 9700, I can't zoom in and out with the track pad. Any suggestions on what might be the problem? i've checked settings, etc. Thanks.

Having the same prob with my 9700, that's why i registered here since I got very pissed of checking through all the settings and nothing still works.

Exactly the same problem for me today - battery pull did the trick, but given the quality of the 9700, should a battery pull be ever necessary??!!

Once in a while. It happens. But try alt-cap-del before going to the trouble of a battery pull. It's often as good. If you ever find it doesn't do the job, then you can do a battery pull. (And it's the right cap key; not the one on the left.)

I've had the 9700 since it just about was released and very rarely need to do a battery pull.

YAY - had same zoom issue - came here, found this answer, pulled batt, now keep getting an http error against a white background....it wont come back up >:/ ....!!! have been less than thrilled with the little issues like this with my bold 9700. Am also trying the alt-caps(right side)-del but keep getting same http error, 102 - RESET.

NOW WHAT?? I've had to replace this 9700 once - the front part....I hope this isn't same issue....

Sorry - meant to say above, JV or JUM error 102 - RESET. Have been on ATT support for 1/2 hour....they're very good, their support, but looks like this will be my second warranty issue in two months (5 month old phone).....y'know, I just might move to a diff phone...
