Well, BGR has had a pretty bad track record of predicting 8900 release dates, so, I'm going to add some more sensible input. A little bird *ahem T-Mobile Rep ahem* once told *ahem emailed ahem* me that the 8900 would come between Feb 15 and Feb 28. Please feel free to share input, seeing as there is no thread for this already. it would be interesting to see other rumored release dates.

AT&T will definitely be getting it at some point.

The CDMA version for Verizon/Sprint will probably be out much later in the year.

Hey, quick follow up. I went to the T-Mobile store, and the rep told me that the 8900 would come out on February 18 and he was 100000% sure about it. Oh, well, we'll have to see if BBNews is right or if store reps actually know what they're talking about... (During TMo pre-4.5 years, I asked a store rep when TMo would release a new os for the 8320 and he said he didn't know when but if would be 4.3 )

info I got from rep is that they are able to place orders for new activation as early as Jan. 19. Fulfillment Center starts building up inventory no later than Jan. 26 and orders will ship out in the order they were received as they become available.

Don't care exact date just want it to get here quick, love my 8320 but cannot wait to get my hands on this baby. Going to have to get one retail but already got the funds set aside to pick one up from TMO or somewhere else.

Go Cardnials!! LOL

I also love my 8320, but for whatever reason(maybe GPS) I am anxious to get the 8900. I love the UMA, and looking forward to taking the Curve to the next level! GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!

I might go back to TMO just for this and cheaper plans. Has anyone used Slacker radio on the EDGE network? If it works fine on edge I think I'm gonna do it.

I tried Slacker on my two year old 8100 on T-Mobile's EDGE network. The beginning of each song was a little choppy since Slacker my BB was receiving the album art at the same time. But, after a few seconds, the song played just fine the rest of the way through.

When the 8900 is released and I upgrade, I anticipate that Slacker will play just fine due to the nice fast processor on the 8900 versus my antique 8100.

I'd kill a poor defenseless animal for one of these things. My 8120's already showing it's age.

That's sad... it's been well-known that the 8900 was coming to T-Mobile first, so I've been holding out for it.

If its less than a month ago, then return the Curve. Then call CS and tell them you returned the phone and you do not want your contract extension anymore, and want to go back on to month-to-month. Make sure you tell them that you want to be able to upgrade when the new 8900 comes out. Even better, you might be able to talking them into sending you an 8900 right away.
