Wirelessly posted (BOLD)

I'm really looking forward to this on att. My area has bad coverage and NO 3G coverage. So this would be a nice up from my curve.

If any of you TMO ppl end up buying, I'm up for chat of a trade/buy of it. If not, ill wait for the ATT version

i would guess not for a while... if ever

they (tmo) chose a off-standard frequency for their 3G (1800 mHz i believe). because other carriers have a different frequency and most carriers shate that same one (1700 mHz i believe) the diffference means special phone for tmo 3g. idk if/when rim will make phones for tmo's 3g frequency

I called T-Mobile Corporate Sales (they first confirmed that I am a corporate customer)to find out about the pre-release of the 8900. They said they could only tell me that February 11th was the release date and that no other date was distributed to them. Also, they did not ahve final pricing yet.

I wonder if being on a government account would be the same thing as a corporate account... I may call.

I'm on a corporate discount, does that count? :D

How does one prove they're corporate anyway?

They said they showed I was a customer through my company (they had the name of my company down on the account - with the discounts) and said that I would be able to get the corporate discounts through them or at a retail store. I thought it strange that they did not know the pricing yet. But he also said that hardly anyone had asked about this phone yet. So he predicted that there would not be any "run on the phone" - they would not run out of devices on the release date.

i will gladly switch from at&t to tmobile on this device. AT&T has a HORRIBLE international data plan, they make you sign a contract for a year even if you're going over seas for the weekend and you need international data. Horrible, they've screwed me over plenty of times, im done with them.

Tmobile is all over europe and my friend said that when he went (he has tmobile), he just called and told them he'd be in certain countries from this time to this time and they only charged him those fees in those times (which wasnt a lot)

i cant WAIT!!!!

I'm wondering if you can get this through a retail store on January 19th. I qualify as corporate, but I'll bet you have to get this online if you want it the 19th.

Well its only fair that T-Mobile gets the Javelin since AT&T got the Bold and Verizon got the Storm, but what new BB will go to Alltel?

I was going to sign up for the contest until I realized I needed to sell out five of my friends too.

$499 is the MSRP according to the rules of the contest.

I picked up my Curve 8320 from T-mobile the first week it was out for regular customers and paid $399 with a $50 rebate and a one year contract.

I have a feeling that the pricing will be the same.

In that case, $450 for the 8900 on eBay without a T-Mo contract looks preety savvy.
(And you can get UMA ad MyFav working to boot!)

I am still hoping for $150 to $200 after all rebates and $50 discount since my contract is up. Let us hope that the price is reasonable.

I guess $200 with a contract, $400 without one (maybe $450). There won't be any shortage of these phones. If you're a new Tmob customer you may get it real cheap (or free) if you wait a week or two and search online. All the easy money is gone before the holidays, and the Storms and Bolds and whatever are in peoples' hands, so this will not be a big event. And don't count on getting UMA working if it's not a Tmobile phone either. That's pretty iffy now.
