I am trying to install 4.5 OS on my laptop (as instructed 'install/run os on pc' then to plug in bb to dm for appload). It begins but then I get the Error Message: Error 2908. Could not register component and under that has {70E1E709-8B57-437C-829F-3777387E9B1E} along with Abort Retry Ignore. I click retry nothing. I re-downloaded the OS and tried over and still get the error. Tried to google search the problem but can't find anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have admin privileges on the computer you're using? Are you using XP or Vista? We need a little more info please.

You may have a bad file, redownload the OS again.

He said he re-downloaded it. If the above doesn't help, try downloading a different OS.

I am running Vista, I have admin. rights. I clicked on the file and clicked on 'Run as Administrator'. I did re-download the OS. My BB currently has 4.2 OS on it.
