Not sure what you are looking for. Are you talking about questions and answers for a certification or something?

Firstly, we don't have the questions for certification. Secondly, we would not post them on a forum if we did - that's a sure-fire way to get in a lot of trouble from RIM.
Thirdly, people on BBF are happy to answer questions or try and helpout when people are having systems problems. However, for the standard of questions you are asking (What is SRP ID) I wonder whether you have much understanding of BES at all.

I would advise you to go and read the Admin Guide, Installation Guide, Resource Kit and Technical/Feature overview. We can't second guess which 200 questions you need answering (or why?!)

Having re-read your original post.... are you trying to devise a system to "test" BES Admins and what they know?

You'd better be sure of this stuff yourself! Answers can be platform specific, and are very dependent on other factors. A 200 question Q&A in a text-list is almost definitely over-simplifying BES! For example, the question 3 you posted - I would answer that with "well, how many mail servers in your BES pointing at?" Your question 2 I would answer with "there is more than one reason why a thread might hang, how long do you want me to talk for?"
The reality is that a "list" of questions will never work. That is why RIM built the BB exams around questions where you are given the network set-up OR the BES config OR a diagram OR some other info, before you are asked straight questions. The only BES questions that do not need "background info" are too easy to test knowledge on (i.e. what is an SRP key - if a BES admin doesn't know that, then you are in trouble my friend!).

You are better off learning and understanding BES yourself, then devising your own "Team Assessment"

1. What is SRP ID and Authentication Key and why it is needed.
The SRP ID is a unique identifier for each BES. The authentication key is used to authenticate the SRP ID being used. That check is done on service start on RIM's network.

Quote:
2. What is hung worker thread and why it generates on Bes server.
A hung worker thread is what it sounds like. Worker threads are generated by the MAPI sub system to do things like wireless sync and email, pretty much anything the BES uses MAPI worker threads. The BES performs health checks every 10 minutes on the worker threads and lets you know if they are hung. There are lots of reasons for a thread to hang, busy mailserver, mismatched MAPI versions between BES and Exchange, large mailboxes, etc...

Quote:
3. How many messaging agents are there in Bes 4.X and what it is used for.
There a total of 5 agents. The agents are created as needed by the BES. If you have 10-50 users you may only have 2 agents. The more users you add the more agents you get. The agents are responsible for doing all the work like scanning the mailbox, wireless sync, email, everything that involves the functionality between the device and BES.

Hope that helps.

I think the original poster is asking about the specifics of a BlackBerry Enterprise Solution. Period. What is it? How does it work? Why does it do what it does? What info do the logs contain? Stuff like that.

I recommend starting here. Then determine if BlackBerry is the solution for you; it probably is. THEN start reading up on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server at BlackBerry.com

As mentioned above, I think you are looking for something that does not exist.

Anyway, if you have all that experience, and are going to use the test yourself on others, I think it better that you write it. That way you will know it inside out, and will be better equipped if someone challenges one of the answers.

If I had some questions, I would give them to you. But I don't. And honestly, this is a forum I help out on, a line has to be drawn somewhere as most members here have full-time jobs to contend with at the same time as helping out here where they can. I don't think you can fairly hope that others draft questions if they do not already exist. I'm not trying to be moody about this, but I find that sometimes people's expectations of BBF are a little too much...

What I was looking for is some set of questions on blackberry which can be used for technical team assessment to judge their technical abilities for blackberry. I wanted to create set of questionnaires which can be used as how good technical team is and where do they stand. Based on the questionnaires results I would try to find out where they are lacking and will provide them training so that they understand blackberry architecture well and resolve the server or client side problems.

If you have the questionnaires then please help.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree here.

If you don't know where members of your team are lacking, you're not managing them very wel.

If you're looking at assessing new members, that kind of technical questionare won't get you good people. An inexperience person will fail. As an experience person, I would walk away from an interview if somebody dropped a 400 question test in front of me because it would make me highly doubt the experience, technical and otherwise, of the person I'd be working for. Asking somebody to answer such a test conveys the message that you don't know th stuff, you're just going to check the answer against an answer sheet.

Default BES Disaster Recovery architecture

Hi,

I am BES administrator and we have more then 500 BB users across the globe. Can some one provide me help in setting up fail proof architecture.
Basically we have a one BES server in US and one setup in India. WE have one SQL2005 server handling the DB requirement. We are planning to setup a DB server with the similar configuration as the DB server in US. Is it possbile to have two BES servers with two SQL2005 DB servers. With replication set between the two DB servers.

Can somebody please help me with setting this architecture.

Thanks
