Peter Fabian from Ottawa facing Battery power & application issues in BB 9900

Hello,
I am Peter Fabian from Ottawa having my third BB gadget, even though I have completely loved my first two BB, this third one (the 9900) has frustrated me a lot. I am having the same battery problems that I think I am lucky to get 4 hrs from a full charge. One other issue that I am having is that my phone becomes almost worthless when I'm outside. The screen goes silly, scrolling by itself, not allowing me to focus on anything specific, and when I attempt to start typing in a specific find the cursor will suddenly proceed to a different location. When I open my message file, it will scroll all the way to the bottom of the list.Any help or suggestions that any one of you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

A media card full of songs and pictures will take a long time to generate the thumbnails and song playlist, possibly making it slow up first use.
On device go to Options, Device, Application Management is a great way to see what your apps are doing with your CPU usage on Smartphone. Just slide top bar to CPU and see what is going on. Also touch the CPU menu to see other time variables. I found out that an app was eating away CPU cycles on mine
Disable Compression on media card? go to Options, Device, Storage
using a custom theme? try it for a day the factory default one to rule out your theme
remember the esc key closes most apps, except for GPS and some chat clients. the other apps need to use menu and then exit or close. The farthest key to the right is a home key and does not close any apps per se but will end calls.

I don't know wether Peter Fabian is real or not, but we had the same problem with one 9900. We sent it back to the vendor and got a new one which didn't have the problem. It was an issue with the touch screen reacting even when you were not even close with the finger.
