hi, i'm pretty new to BB in terms of doing things other than just using it for emails and other PIM features. how would i go about installing a .jad file on the BB? i got a blackjack game that just came in a .jad form. how do i load it on the BB?

.jad are for downloading OTA (via the web browser.) You can try loading it to an SD card and then browsing to it using the Media app's "Explore" feature.

I tried that this morning with a jad file and it started "downloading" then gave an error, something to the effect "no valid cod file."

Did you have a .cod file in the same directory?

No, just the jad which I had downloaded to computer and copied to my SD card.

I've read about a "process" to convert files and or create the necessary files but it requires something called rapc.exe or similar and I googled but could not find that. I gather it is part of a larger library or install scheme.
