I have the BB Curve 9300....when i log into fb on my BB THEN on the computer, it automatically unchecks all my notifications. Why is this happening? I need my notifications all on at all times so I can get them via my email incase Im not logged in...help!

I've noticed this as well.

But why are signing out of FB on your Blackberry? If you sign in it's always run and notifications are pushed to you.

(It isn't perfect however.)

I've went back into FB and checked the boxes multiple times but it continues to uncheck themselves.

I noticed this as well since FB 1.9 (or was it 1.8). FB for BB should not be modifying my notifications settings. I've stopped using it until RIM fixes it. If RIM doesn't fix it in the next release, then I'll uninstall FB for BB.

SteveO86, I log into and out of FB for BB. For me, it's a supplemental not my primary UI to FB. I never stay logged into anything all the time for security reasons -- in case I lose the BB.

I would try to reinstall FB and see if that makes a difference. I have had problems with my tour and FB and that did the trick.

It looks like the new Facebook app doesn't rely on intercepting e-mails from Facebook for its notifications and so doesn't need those options checked.

I had a problem of not receiving notifications and the notification boxes unchecking themselves - this seems to explain it: KB17087-Push and email notifications are received for the same item, or no notification is received when using Facebook® for BlackBerry® smartphones

Deleting and reinstalled the Facebook app got my notifications back despite those options being unchecked.

On FB for BB, under Options, I leave "Facebook notifications" checkbox unchecked and do not click "Turn off all Facebook Email Notifications". As such, my expectation is that I continue to receive whatever email notifications I have specified on web-based Facebook. I like those messages, I can read them and be done. However, once I login FB for BB for any reason, FB for BB unchecks my desired FB email notifications regardless and disables how I want things to be. I didn't choose to turn off email notifications but it does anyway.

I've uninstalled & reinstalled weveral times now, same thing happens. So, like I said before, FB for BB is modifying my FB settings on the web without asking me for permission in advance. Any application that does that, in my case at least, is toast. They become no different to me than a virus.

If it's working the way others would like, then that's goodness. I may just want something different. And I definitely want my selections honored.
