I would say the first and quickest way to try to reset your BB is to remove the battery. Of course, the hope is that you have your date on your phone backed up before you do.
If not, you are advised to make sure your Blackberry Desktop manager is properly installed. You could also make sure the USB drivers on your PC are also installed the right way.
It also helps to make sure you have an up-to-date OS installed on your phone. You could perform updates, but the jvm error 545 message may still pop up.
If so, this is a crucial time as you should have your data backed up by now. Then, you will have to open up the BB Desktop Manager and follow through all the prompts for performing a completely clean install.
