I thought it would worth a try, and what do you know, she switched me back on my $20 plan without hesitation... haha... I guess I just got my luck today. I sure will check my bill once it comes the next month though, lol

you shouldn't have to change your plan if you go through a corporate store, customer care t-mobile.com
only indirect dealers would require changing to data plan, if not they don't get the full commission and basically lose money selling you the phone.
