lol..I need to start reading slower. When I saw the beginning part I only read voice for 2 years. Well we'll see what they do. Hopefully I'll just put my sim card in..and everything will go smoothly. If they harrass about adding another dataplan.. then I'll have to see what my options are, but I will get them to allow me to pay the price I would have it upgraded on my account. We'll see. Its shipped and its on its way. Can't wait to get home tomorrow!

Here's my story, I went to the store and tried to upgrade it there, the rep told me that I can't keep my $20 BIS plan and I have to upgrade to the $25 plan, I was extremely upset, well, $5 a month is not that big of a deal since I'm gonna use the heck out of the service plus tethering anyway, just the concept kinda sucks.
Anyway, got the phone, went home, called 611, asked them to switch me back on the $20 plan, I told them I wasn't informed about the changed in data plan price, I know I have to have the data feature but since I've had it, I didn't know it has to be switched the the new one. I thought it would worth a try, and what do you know, she switched me back on my $20 plan without hesitation... haha... I guess I just got my luck today. I sure will check my bill once it comes the next month though, lol

you shouldn't have to change your plan if you go through a corporate store, customer care t-mobile.com

only indirect dealers would require changing to data plan, if not they don't get the full commission and basically lose money selling you the phone.
