Default Curve 8320 frozen after dead battery

Please Login to Remove!

I forgot to charge my phone last night, I woke up to find it dead. After charging for a few hrs, it comes on, but none of the buttons work. It still registers when a call or SMS messages comes thru. What can I do? I'm sure there's no physical\water damage. I've been told to back up the info, and wipe the OS, but I'm not familiar with the procedure, and whether it'll help. Also, is it possible to view my call log and text received text on my desktop?

Have you done a battery pull? Does the device connect to DM? Have you tried restoring with your most recent backup, etc...???

Yes I've done all of the above. And now my carrier says that my warranty expired 2 days ago. The phone still receives calls, sms, and keeps track of the time (although in a different time zone, lol). And I keep seem to find any discussions on the topic of unresponsive buttons

That generally implies the device got wet to some extent. :P Many threads discuss it. Anyway...I don't have any other ideas then. It's gonna be a few weeks til I tear mine down, so as of now, I'm unfamiliar with the hardware under the pretty buttons. BTW, is the case seperated?

No the case is intact. I tried the JL Cmdr wipe, and it all went thru to the "Error 507" screen. Then I restored the software, but the phone is still frozen
