Default Messages Getting Deleted

Please Login to Remove!

i have an 8130 and verizon service.

recently i've noticed my phone is deleting my text messages. periodically, without me doing anything, all my text messages are erased. in fact, my phone just beeped, indicating a new text, and by the time i picked it up to check, there was no message.

it also seems to no longer save my call log. i've made several calls in the past few days, but there are no numbers or anything.

i must have accidentally switched some setting to delete these things, but i have no clue what it is or how i did it. does anyone know what i can do to fix this?

thank you.

Your device is out of memory.
Delete some applications/themes/etc. that you don't need.

how do i check how much memory is on my device? i think i've only installed two extra applications -- aside from trooper typing which just appeared on its own. how do i go about delete themes and applications? i've had trouble trying to do this before, and have difficulties working with my phone via a real computer since i use a mac.

thanks for your quick reply.

You can check memory by going to Options>Status and looking at "File Free".

You can delete apps by going to Options>Advanced Options>Applications, scoll to the app that you want to delete, press the menu key and select "Delete". I n most cases, it will tell you it will reboot your device to complete the deletion.

thank you for your help! i deleted something and now have much more free space on my phone.

this has, however, left me with another question. i dont see all my applications when i go to options>advanced option>applications. i have BBToday on my phone, and have tried to delete it before, but am not sure if i was successful because its icon is still in the applications menu, but i do not see it in the app. list under advanced options. also, trooper typing just appeared on my phone this morning and that, too, is not in the application list.

is there a reason for this? how would i go about actually removing these programs?

thank you again.
