I'm hoping someone here can help me. I bought a Blackberry 7130e. I decided to have my place of employment use the BES services so that I could receive my work email on my BB. After they set it up, I realized that I was no longer able to download 3rd party software (due to security issues with my job - I am in law enforcement), so I asked them to remove it so that I could once again download 3rd party software.
Sure enough, since they removed whatever it is they remove, I no longer get email from work (which was supposed to happen), but NOW I can no longer send emails or access the internet. I called IT and they told me to call my provider!!!!! I am thinking this is an easy fix, but I have not been able to figure it out.
I was on hold with Verizon/Blackberry for a half hour, only to learn that they closed at 11 pm!!! Very frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!! BTW - I use a Mac and everything I do on my BB is OTA.
You need to get rid of the ITPolicy in your BB.. and the only way's to:
(Do all below in the following sequence)
1, Backup everything
2, Erase the BB (In option->Security)
3, Put the device on another BES so it overwrites your old policy
4, Restore
Search the forum on how to do step 3.. There are a few options I think..
I'm a novice, so I'm not really sure what you mean. How can I back up my BB if I haven't any computer software to sync (I have a Mac, and although I know there are ways to do this through pocketmac - I think - I haven't done so).
I don't think this will work for me - I'm using a Mac and do not have desktop software for Mac (I just downloaded PocketMac), and these instructions look like they're for Windows only.
