My 8520 Curve has been playing up over the past 24 hours and I'm not very good with working out how to solve the problems myself so here I am.

On BBM whenever I try to send a message it just appears with a red clock next to it and my contact list puts a red cross on the username of the person I've tried to message.

My internet will not connect to any website despite me being connected to my home wifi and the Facebook app does not load. However, the Uber Twitter app loads perfectly fine.

Can anybody help me out here? Is it a really simple setting I just need to change or something more complicated??
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a BB data plan activated on your account? If so, resend the service books and do a battery pull.

If not, you need a BB data plan for BBM, email and Internet to work.

What is a BB data plan? Sorry Im really dumb when it comes to this kind of stuff

Its a data plan for blackberry's.
Unlimited internet will not work for blackberries.
Call your carrier.

Hi, I don't have a data plan but really was expecting to browse once I'm connected thru wifi. (residential wifi).

Many carriers are now requiring you to have a BB data plan active before you can use WiFi.

In any case, you MUST have a BB data plan to use any RIM related service such as email, BBM, Facebook and the BB browser.
