Anyone know why attachments in some e-mail messages are being stripped out? Sometimes people send me messages with JPGs and the attachment isn't being forwarded to me. I know the attachment is there because I can see it when I log in to the native ISP mail account.

Sounds like the attachment is too big

I too notice if i send an email with a picture in it i NEVER get the email on my blackberry and the picture is of normal size in other words its not big at all.

I have had no problems getting pictures or attachments so far.

are you on a BES or BIS? maybe there are some server-side restrictions set by your admin concerning attachment limits

I forward my ISP mail to vzw.blackberry.com, so I think that means I'm on BES?

I don't think it's the size per se-- it's not that I never get attachments -- it's a bit hit or miss. If someone sends me something and it's clearly missing an attachment (i.e. "See attached") I know to go to Gmail and view the attachment from there. But if no heads up is given then I miss it altogether. Not the end of the world but certainly a mystery.

I have not had any problems receiving attachments, I am on a hosted BES.

I having a similar issue. I am a BES admin. BES 4.1.4/Exchange2K3/T-Mobile 8800. I have a user that forward an email with an attachment to co-worker, no issues. But when same user forwards to same co-worker, while TDY(buisness trip), the attachment is stripped. User comes back no issues. Any ideas?
