Default 4.5.0.138 for ESN 8330 is out

Please Login to Remove!

I am now running 4.5.0.138 on my ESN 8330

Their is no file to download yet!

Seems you will need .131 installed on your BB and on your PC go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and then for the vendor.XML file should be deleted or edit it to read <vendorsrc version="0.0.0.0">

Next (with your BB pluged into your PC but DM not running) go to www.balckberry.com/update install the active X control and it will then launch your loader.exe app (it may update it to 4.7.0.55 first) and it should show you the 4.5.0.138 update.

I have confirmation form four people now and its not carrier specific.

Just seems to be a little faster overall. No new features that I could find.

I tried to check it out and this is my first upgrade since switching from BIS to BES... I didn't know the browser-based version (BlackBerry - Update your Device Software) won't work if I'm on BES. Looks like I need to wait for a carrier release

Doesn't seem to do anything. Wants me to downgrade. When I click on check for updates it automatically starts DM.

Well seems that as of now only Bell, Telus and Appalachian Wireless are confirmed.

If anyone on Sprint successfully achieves this update, let me know. Until then, I think I'll wait.

I downloaded and installed it just fine. What bugs did you hear of?

I got to 75% download and then it fails. Anyone else having this issue? It's happened twice so far.

Yayyy! I just successfully updated my OS using Windows 7 build 7077 and Desktop Manager 5. Restoring application data now. I'm hyped, that was the only thing keeping me from using Win 7 full time.

After several attempts, I was finally able to successfully install .138 on my Sprint 8330.

I had to download the file 4 times and use the App Loader.exe method.
