Is the BlackBerry 7790 the next hardware upgrade? If so, please post what you know about this device. If not, then what is the next hardware upgrade?

Also, on a side note, does anyone know if Verizon will be carrying the 7750 for much longer, or will it be replaced by an upgraded model sometime during this year?

Next devices to be released in the US are 7100t (the Charm) and 7290 (quad band, blue tooth version of the 72xx).

With the 77xx being so new I wouldn't expect anything right away or the near future, as kirson said you'll see the 7100 and 7290 and hopefully OS 4 before anything else.

As for Verizon and other CDMA carriers due the chip set and processor size of CDMA technology their limited to the 67xx/77xx form factor hence the reason CDMA carriers Verizon, Bell, Telus etc. only offer these two units.

By no means are these carriers being left off the food chain it's just a matter of the technology not fitting into the smaller 62xx/72xx casing. So if there is anything new coming CDMA subscribers could be last in line for updated product!

Actually, the gprs 77xx devices have been out about a year now, it was just that north american carriers were slow to catch up with europe.

Personally, I think we have seen the last of upgrades to the gprs side of the 7700 line for a while, its more likely that they will do a complete redesign before the next new product, logically they would probably like to be able to produce a design that could easily be reboxed like they have with the 7100v and 7100t as the carriers are far more likely to heavily promote an 'exclusive' device.
