Default BIS issues part II

Can anyone else chime in and comment on this? I have tested with 2 different Storms on VZW and a Curve on ATT.

Since I have been using the Storm, BIS email delivery is VERY unreliable. I have 5 addresses configured. If I use a computer and send a message to all 5 addresses, maybe 2 of the addresses on the Storm will get the email. Sometimes 3. Sometimes all of them. Sometimes I will go several hours with NO emails to a certain address then suddenly I'll get flooded with 10 that were delivered hours ago. This is competely random and happens on the Storm with ALL available OS's (even the .83 beta)

So I am trying to figure out if it's an OS issue that could be fixed in a future release, or if the Storm's I am testing with are hosed. This does not happen on the Curve I have.

i have 3 email addresses on my VZW storm(BIS) and only once did it stop delivery. It asked me to re-enter my Hotmail password, after that never missed an email from any of the addresses(using the .75 OS)

Are all 3 Hotmail? Only 1 of mine are and I rarely have an issue with that one. It's the miserable AOL/AIM addresses that are the biggest problems. BUT they never were a problem with the Curve. So I don't know what to think at this point.

Are they set up through POP or IMAP?

I've heared POP only polls your server once every 20 minutes until it finds email there, then when it does will poll every 3 minutes until it doesn't receive any more, then reverts back to every 20 minutes.

I have 2 Gmail and 2 others personal domain name address configured with IMAP and I get mail within a minute or two of sending it every time.

I have 2 POP and 3 GMail accounts set up. The GMail comes in instantly and the POP can take up to 10 minutes (approx). This varies, so my analysis is that it is a Verizon server issue. It probably depends on the server loading and if all servers are functioning. I have had similar problems with my Verizon voicemail.. Sometimes, voicemails can take up to 24 hours to be delivered.

No carrier is perfect and Verizon does have great coverage and is generally reliable. There does not seem to be anything that can be done about it. It's like when a local cell goes down. ANnoying but gets fixed.
