Default Official Price - 8100 In Hand

Please Login to Remove!

Well the in-store price is officially $349.00 retail.

$100 bucks off with a 2 yr contract extension for a POS price of $249

plus there is a $50 MIR with the contract extension.

My store got over a hundred in, but the sales manager is sure that he will be sold out come evening time.

BTW - This is in NYC at an official T-mobile store. There was no line or anything. 2 other customers came in right after me also looking to purchase the 8100. It was kinda funny the salesperson and manager had no idea what the price was and they could not find it in their computer for a few minutes. If there were a lot of people there it would have been chaos.

**UPDATE**
So in summary:

$349 retail price

$249 POS price with 2 yr contract

$299 POS price with 1 yr contract

$50 MIR with 1 or 2 year contracts.

If you UPGRADE ONLINE the cost is:

$249 POS price with 2 yr contract extension (note: no 1 year option available online upgrade)

$50 MIR with 2 year contract

To upgrade online with NO CONTRACT EXTENSION they are charging $379

I paid $349 for my phone in the store with NO CONTRACT EXTENSION. Funny how they charge $30 more than the "retail" price for their loyal customers if they upgrade online.

Some people are getting quoted $429 to upgrade in store without contract.

Interesting - I was at the T-mo store on Madison and 53rd and paid 249.99 with no contract extension. I just renewed for 2 years this past June with an 8700. I didn't ask any questions, just paid and went on my merry way...

That's better than you we're speculating yesterday. I can live with that.

You got lucky, the store manager was about to sell it to me for $300 bucks but the other salesperson found the official price memo. The POS price is supposed to be $249 if you do the extension. I should have walked a couple of extra long blocks to madison and bought it there

Very interesting different regional pricing? I saw the price memo on the sales reps POS register with my two eyes. It was very short and very clear:

$349.00 retail

$249.00 POS price with 2 yr contract extension

$50.00 MIR with contract extension

Ohh well it looks like people are finding the units for between $250 and $430. I can confirm that I purchased it from a tmobile store in NYC this morning for $349.00.

Same for me...249.99 plus tax = 264.99 out the door. Just renewed contract 2 months ago.

Here's what my rep emailed me....

" . . . The MSRP is $350 and I can sell it for either $200 or $250 (after a $50 rebate) on 2 year or 1 year contracts. . . "

He's taking phone orders right now, no activation fee and free 2-day shipping . . . PM me for contact info of my rep.

Well i'm sitting outside of my tmo store in Seattle on the sidewalk with T-minus (tee hee) hour and a half till open, so I'll find out the Northwest area price soon enough.

Thank god for my mobile broadband card and having my laptop with me to keep me entertained.

I find it odd that I refuse to wait in line more than 45 minutes for a movie yet, it will be 3 hours total of me waiting in the cold on the sidewalk waiting for a blackberry... I guess that just means I have my priorities straight ;)

Most movies lately are just so so, I haven't see anything in a theatre for almost a year. However new phones are good to show off and make others go ooooh.
