Default Nextel 7520 apps/games

Hi all,

I am looking for some apps and games that work on the 7520.. the Virca irc does not seem to work.. I had to manually load the program but it wont work/connect to the server. Anyhow.. any one have a list of working programs and games for the 7520 I dont have bes access which makes ota downloads impossible. Is there any way to load ringtones/wallpapers manualy into the phone any other way? I have been reading quite a bit in this forum and everyone/thing says over the air for ringtones and just save the photos but without bes this seems impossible. Is there any way to make the reqwireless browser capable of saving the images/files from the software itself?

Thanks for any and all input!

jmirc seems to get stuck when trying to connect to the server.. everytime I run it the program locks up and I have to softboot my 7520.. I have a very hard time beliving that there is no software support for the 7510/7520 without a bes server.. I mean.. what the hell does nextel expect every damn blackberry owner/user to have bes support. I shouldnt be punished on usability and accessiblity of programs and installs and features just because I am not on a bes.. honestly other then a few up points of having my calender, and full email, and web browsing I really dont see the benifit of this blackberry so far without a bes.

I am on Nextel without a third party BES/MDS server. The access Nextel provides is sufficient.

games - www.magmic.com
ringtones - http://3gwiz.com & http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/midi/
IM - search for verichat & IM+ & webmessenger

There are a lot of apps for BB 75xx that don't need BES/MDS so you should be fine. Search the forum for anything else. A lot of support

How do I get the ringtones and wallpapers to load/save on my BB7520 without bes support.. everytime I use the wap browser on it to connect and download a ringtone it gives me I think it is error 9 file too large, same with ota downloads of j2me software. Either I am doing something wrong.. or something is wrong with my Blackberry, also I cant save file attachments in my email for wallpapers.

Please any insight on what is going on.. or any other ways to load wallpapers and ringtones to the black berry I would appreicate it. Also email attachments.. any thoughts and suggestions?

Ok you need a Blackberry browser. I believe you are using the NOL browser provided by Nextel.

If you don't see BB browser do the following,
https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...sp?site=nextel Go there, register an e-mail, go into the options and click the link that says "Send browser service book". Once you have this service book you should have the BB browser (If you don;t have this option call nextel and tell them and they should be able to do it for you). This will solve the ringtones problem.

After getting the browser go to any website that has pictures and click on them and choose the option save as wall paper. If you want your own custom pic then upload them to a webserver (there are threads that give you links to some webpages that allow you to temp upload pic and then you follow the same procedure and you should be fine.

Next, you can't view pic file attachments yet. This is because nextel haven't been able to upgrade their server to 4.0. which will be done in a months time. So until then you have to wait.
