Default 4.6.1.250 -> Os 5.0

Please Login to Remove!

just throwin it out there, as im typing im upgrading to OS 5 via desktop manager. ive had the .250 firmware loaded for a couple weeks and today when attempting to load a theme via DM it searched for updates and its now updating to OS 5, no beta using DM 4.7. not sure if this topic has been covered before but hopefully this is useful info to you guys. enjoy (if you get the same results)

also wanted to add its got new features/apps such as visual voicemail and an icon for playlists. the playlist icon for me is very useful. great find.

some of the new icons ive noticed-
playlists
my unlimited contacts
visual voicemail
files

Not really buying the one. T-Mobile has not released OS 5.0 for anything - no one has - and 5.0.0.90 isn't even the latest beta! So I don't think they pushed it.

ok you can believe what you want, im just stating that i was prompted to upgrade to 5.0.0.90 via desktop manager, i didnt go fishing for beta's or any other firmware. i had 4.6.1.250 loaded. btw have you attached your bb to your computer and tried loading desktop manager and see what you find?

and of course it isnt the latest beta! why would RIM release a beta via DM??? i would have taken better pix of the OS options but my phone is locked when DM is open. ill try to use a friends cam phone. and attach a pic

it states "local installation of OS"
this means its installed on the PC.

So, you never downloaded Handheld OS 5.0.0.90 for the Bold onto your computer?

I think NJ meant to say the 8900, as that is what you have and there is a beta OS 5 for it with the same numbers as the bold.
