Hey guys - this just started happening a couple weeks ago. Every few days, my phone won't receive any emails. They are coming through Outlook (using Gmail IMAP), but nothing on the phone. Then all of the sudden they come all at once. I'm able to send emails, but can't delete from Phone and Mailbox. I have been using this phone for a year without any issues until now.

I'm using a Curve on AT&T, using gmail IMAP. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm just wondering if this is a service issue for the time being.

I'm having no problems with my gmail (POP) but Yahoo is very erratic this afternoon. What's strange is if I mark a received message read/unread on either the BB or Yahoo it reconciles almost immediately. But new received email takes 30 minutes to reach the BB.

Not that this will be much help to you, but I'm experiencing something similar that started about 2 weeks ago. I have my online banking set to email both my BB and another account when a deposit or withdrawal exceeds a certain amount. The message comes in fine to the other account, but there is a delay of up to 2 days before it hits my BB. I tried re-sending service books but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Well let's hope it's due to the impending switch to BIS 2.6 for AT&T which is scheduled for this weekend.

Thanks guys. I haven't received any emails yet today on my BB. I tried taking the battery out and restarting, nothing. I'm also having some trouble making calls. Feels like a system issue.

RIM has been having random data outages across the US for a few days. I know it was an issue in places last week. Europe was having some problems over the weekend as they converted to BIS 2.6. We can expect the same here once the US carriers convert.

I actually called customer care, and the reason I'm not receiving messages is my phone is stuck in GSM. I've never had this issue before. I have to leave my house and see if the phone moves over to EDGE, and if the message will come then. I'm guessing this will be the case.

I wonder why the local service by my house is only GSM?

Update: Overnight I received all my emails. When I checked my phone this morning, it was still in GSM. Then for about an hour I had an EDGE connection. Now back to GSM and no emails. Pretty frustrating. The emails I deleted from my phone this morning aren't deleting from my inbox either.

Another update: ATT gave me a new SIM card and all is well.
