hey guys:
so i'm sure most of you are aware of the new app "123 Spoof." if not, check it out here:
123SPOOF Mobile - Blackberry Spoofing App Powered by 123SPOOF.com
it's basically an app that lets you call someone from your own phone, yet lets you manipulate the caller ID that shows up on their phone. there are 2 versions that you can run: the free, ad-supported version, and a paid version. there are loads of questions about the true "freeness" of this app, most of which come from this statement on their website:

i e-mailed the customer support myself, asking the following question:
I just downloaded the 123 Spoof application for my BlackBerry Curve.
I am using the free, ad-supported version, but then I came across
something on your website that said that 123 Spoof calls made within
the United States are charged 16.67 cents per minute of use. Does
this apply to me since I'm using the "free" version? I just want to
be sure I'm avoiding any charges for my usage of this application.
i got the following answer:
If you are using the free mode, it is indeed free. That section of the FAQ is to let you know how much the per minute charge it is you decide to but the full version.
so there you have it. now if you'll excuse me, i am going to have lots of fun screwing around with my blackberry-less friends!
