Works perfectly fine except no matter what settings I change it wont make or receive calls.

I read about the jl_cmder resettodefault (not sure if that is what it's called, im pulling that from memory since I can't find the post any longer)

but I cant install the application on vista.

if anyone could shed some light on this for me my gf would love you.. err.. she would love me.

What does it say where signal strength is located on the screen (SOS, gprs, edge, etc)? Is the device branded to the carrier you use?

Can you make phone calls using your SIM card? If you can it might be a bad SIM card. Does the other sim work and make calls in another phone. I am not sure where you go the phone but I guess it's possible that if the IMEI was reported stolen that carrier might have suspended it.

My sim is fine I use it in my pearl. I bought the phone on ebay knowing that it was broken. I was thinking that maybe it would be easy to fix and I could give it to my girlfriend who really wants a pearl. Do I need to call T - mob and ask them what to do? What would happen if they found it was stolen? I didnt steal it!! haha

Ok, Missed that. What exactly did they say was broken or wrong with it? I would start with calling TMO and telling them you purchased the phone and would like to know they status of the IMEI and PIN.

I was told in the decription that the phone was functional except it wouldnt make calls. I thought it was probably just a setting that needed to be changed, but after messing with all the settings i cant fix it.

Is tmob going to offer support for a phone that I didnt buy through them?
