Default USB Disconnection Problem

Please Login to Remove!

So I was uploading things on my blackberry from my computer when I get a call on my phone. I pick it up and accidentally pulled the usb cord out of the computer. So now my phone does not recognize SD Cards anymore. I cannot format them (I've already searched a similar thread on this forum which I cannot post the link to because I don't have the permission to.) and nothing works. When I connect the cell phone to the computer again, it recognizes the phone, but not the SD card.

I tried putting the cards through a reader into the computer, and they work fine. I've tried formatting them manually on the computer as well. Still doesn't work. I've tried a few other sd cards and still the phone does not recognize them.

Any ideas?

I've not had to deal with this myself, so I'm guessing. Did you try a hard reset on the blackberry? (With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds.)

You know, that was probably the single most brilliant solution ever. I go post on other forums...and they tell me format the card even though I told them already. But you sir, you told me something that actually works.

Thanks a lot! I tried it and it works!

Welcome to the group.

That's the first important lesson with a blackberry: A hard reset corrects just about every weird issue. It's always the first thing to try.
