WeatherEye and WeatherBug Direct in my opinion are the best choices, both offer home screen icons with the temp/forecast. I just prefer WeatherBug for the Severe weather Alerts.

I'm using a combination of things now:

WeatherEye for the homescreen icons that change with each update;

Weather for info on multiple cities (up to 5) and a slick interface;

Weather Underground bookmark for long term (10-day) forecasts. I've actually been using the iPhone formatted pages from wunderground - you lose some functionality in the scripting and internal links, but the radar image is larger and the icons are nicer to look at than the lightweight mobile version that I used to use.

When all else fails, I just look out the window. But how much fun is that?

I downloaded it last night and found my device dead an hour later all locked up battery was fine just locked the device up so I don't know if it was weatherbug or another 3rd party software.

Never had that type of problem with WeatherBug. You can send them a bug report from Options -> WeatherBug Direct.

For the Icon with the current forecast you need to add that icon. Options -> WeatherBug Direct, look for the weatherbug extentions. They got a few to choose from.

Ah, but my icons are changing as the weather changes. Maybe you need to enable visual alerts?

Just checked on my BlackBerry, go to Options -> WeatherBug Direct hit the menu key go to weatherbug portal, in there you will find the extensions.

I'm partial to bbweather. You can download it OTA here - http://www.tateu.net/software/bb.php?f=BBWeather.

Some advice on getting it to work here - How do I get BB Weather to work on the 8100 / 8300 / 8800? - BlackBerryFAQ

If you don't want to load an app weatherunderground has a nice mobile site - Weather Underground (Mobile) - just enter the city/state, zip or country.

I have a really buggy 8350 and I loaded weathereye and weatherbug and both crashed. I found out my device will be replaced shortly. then I will have to try it again.

Ouch, let us know how it turns out.

There are a few other Weather applications, weather underground (as a browser bookmark), bbweather, push weather. That you can try if these 2 applications are still buggy for you with your new device.

here's a really cool app, with quick weather being only one of many options it has. it's designed beautifully, and the fact that it's voice-activated is pretty nifty too!

Tellme | Say it. Get It.

enjoy
