Default Just got mine today.

Please Login to Remove!

Got mine from T-Mobile today and so far lone it. It is still 3.8 version OS and I want upgrade it to 4.0. At this time, where is the best place to do that? I have not gotten to sunc yet and have not found the passord program on the device yet.

Also there is no icons for IM set up how do I do that. The scrolling thing is going to take some geting used to but I think it will be breeze once I get used to it. I love suretype and switch back and forth according to waht I am doing at the time.

Any other pointers that would be helpful would be appreciated.

Update:

1. Love the keyboard. After you get used to it itworks like a charm.

2. I upgraded to 4.0 from T-Mobile with no problems and everything is working great. Some of you are having problems with the new version but my install went fine.

3. Others at work are jealous. Even those with a Treo 650. They like the form factor of this unit better and the weight.

4. Set up account on Blackberry e-mail with no problems and added two other POP accounts.

5. Have used SMS and it works fine.

6. Volume on earpiece is a little low. When I turn up the volume then it seems that the mic is too loud.

7. Can someone find me a site to locate an X-Files ringtone? I had one on my PPC and it definately drew attention.

More to come as I play with this great device.

Download the OS from T-mo website. Go to t-mobileusa and click on your phone. On that screen is a link to download the new OS AND the new Desktop manager. The new OS fixed several problems/glitches my phone had out of the box.

I stated that I have downloaded and upgraded already. Are you having any additional problems with 4.0

Also BTW, I found a great password and sensitive information program that mimicks ewallet that I used to use on my PPC. It is mwallet and can be purchsed from Handango for $5.50. It works and looks great.

I didn't realize you had responded to yourself. I just replied to your 1st post. So far 4.0 has cured my IM problems, increased the clarity of voice in low signal areas (which is HUGE being on T-Mobile), cured my bluetooth headset problem and as far as i can tell, there are no problems with this phone now.

Here's a tip for newbies - Turn on auto-shutoff/auto turn on. Automatically turns the phone off at night and back on in the morning. Tools-settings-auto on/off.

p.s. One thing I noticed about auto on/off is that it doesn't care if you manually turn the phone off, it comes back on when it thinks it's supposed to. So if you intend to shut your phone off for a long period you need to disable auto on/off....
