Is there anyway to restrict what data gets synced from the BES to the blackberrys? There are certain fields that we don't want to upload to all the BBs, namely stuff like paygrade, titles etc, all of which are on fields that are in the NAB and can be found if someone really wants to hunt for them. We just dont want that info on any of these devices.

From reading a few other places it sounds like we have to control what database the BES reads from? As in create a new new Name and Address Book NSF specifically for the BES to read from, we'd just do the data cleaning in that secondary BlackBerry names.nsf.

But our names.nsf is pretty big so not many Admins are going to like the idea of having a second copy even though it would be stripped down to bare essentials and smaller.

Was just wondering if there was another way to do this.

I'm doing something similar, my names.nsf is my private contacts, names5.nsf is work contacts.
I created a names3.nsf which is a combination of both, but not full work list, I can't see anyway of doing it without creating a new nsf, a real pain when there's 2500 contacts to sift through!!

The automation of grabbing the data from the same place the normal names.nsf grabs from is easily copied and pointed to another names.nsf, just a bunch of Notrix jobs. But the overhead for having another set of those Notrix jobs running nightly and another huge nsf probably on the same physical box requires some justification. Just want to be sure there is no way to do this in the Domino BES.
