Just to throw in my 2c's worth from the UK ....... I signed up with exchangemymail yesterday from the UK ....... I use an 8700v on Vodafone UK.

I have to say the whole process took about 10 mins from submitting my payment ! and now everything works seamlesly far better than I ever imagined.

The couple of questions I did have about my 'reply to' address were dealt with within minutes by Dave ! ..... Thanks very much and a highly recommended service

Regards

Mark

Default Going from Blackberry Internet Service to Blackberry Enterprise Server

Hi all,

I signed up for the GoEMM.com email last night and selected the blackberry option. I tried doing a wireless enterprise activation on my blackberry; however, my numerous attempts were unsuccessful. Before purchasing the BES option from Exchange My Mail, I was using Sprint's Blackberry Internet Service. Will this conflict? How do I deactivate my blackberry pin from the BIS so that I can use it on the BES? Please help. THanks.

You do not need to remove yourself from Sprint's BIS to use EMM. You should be able to use both at the same time.

What's the problem you're having specifically?

You also do not have to "deactivate your pin". The PIN is unique to each blackberry and is independent of BES or BIS.

husef9926 - Looks like your account wasn't activated on our BES server when you tried to activate. Sorry for the delay, but everything on our end has been completed, and you should now be able to complete the enterprise activation on your BB.

Also lgreenberg & mortgageguy are both correct correct. You can use BIS and BES at the same time. many people do.. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the posts guys. Dave got it fixed! I thought I was using my blackberry to its fullest - man was I wrong. I didn't know how powerful a blackberry could be when you have it setup to use a BES. The tech support folks at EMM were great and friendly. Keep up the great work guys and I hope to be a long time customer.

Default switching from another hosting company

If i switch to Exchange My Mail from another exchange hosting company, how long would the process take? I need to do it in a way that ensure any disruption be minimal, i.e. keeping all current email stored on BB.

Gauss - Setup on our side takes no more than 10 - 15 minutes. then all you do is forward your mail to us, or make an mx record change. In any event, there should be little to no downtime.

any comments on speed using the BB browser going through EMM's BES versus regular t-mo BIS?

EMM sounds like just what i need for my smaller business needs. A speeded up browser would also be a plus

I will let the others here answer on the speed difference. I don't use it much, so i don't really know. All i know is that RIM and people that do use it say it is faster.

Have you heard when service will come back up?
My data (web, other software) appears to function fine.

Their Voicemail says they are closed on sundays...

However I did get an email warning of service being down on easter for updates. Something about security updates, I don't remember exactly.
The Email was from David and said that he chose Easter Sunday because it was a slow email day.

Sorry for the problems yesterday guys. It seems a bunch of our users didn't get the email that we had sent out about server maintenance scheduled for Easter Sunday. Everything went without a hitch ( except for the user notification system ) not notifying everybody. We are looking into it..

Default Mac Os X

There have been some rumblings on this thread on OS X compatibility but I haven't heard anyone discuss integration with the native addressbook or iCal. I don't want to go to entourage on the mac - looking for native integration only. Anyone have this working somehow?
