Default 7290 Ringtones

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, so I'm new, just got the 7290 blackberry x-mas day and I've been reading the forum, learned lots of stuff from you all but I still have one question after doing a good search. I know the 7290 has ringtones on it. They suck, I know I can't do MP3 ringtones on it but is there a way to buy and download poly ringtones to it or am I SOL in that issue as well.

dudes

I checked the davidenglish site and his .mid files I can download and they work but I am looking for musical tones.

I have followed all of the suggestions throughout the threads but I still cannot .adp files

and the ringtones provided by the blackberrytunes.com don't work either.

specifically I get error messages or the default page says no files for the 7290.

Any other suggestions on how to get up to date musical ringtones for the 7290 .adp files or .mid.

in addition the the luckyluciano site doesn't load on my bb browser

or the the adelmay either.

any help or redirection is appreciated

thanks

.adp files won't work on the 7290. Only on the 7100 series. The 7290 plays mono midi files. It's not a polyphonic device.

You could use this search engine for MIDI ringtones: http://www.midisite.co.uk/. It will be mostly trial and error to find ones that sound good on your 7290.

Ok, try and solve this one. I have a 7250, went to the www.bbota.com site and tried downloading the Starwars.mid file. It downloaded fine, but when I play it, it sounds like a fast forward Alvin and the Chipmunks song. Any fix for this?

Which browser are you using? I also have a 7290, and I have trouble saving MIDI ringtones with the T-Mobile browser (the red circled T icon), but I am able to save them with the BlackBerry browser (usually an Earth-globe icon). Try switching browsers, and you should have the option to save the file.
